Seasonal allergy often occur at specific time of the year. It is actually caused by prevalent allergens during that period. These elements include tree pollen, mold, ragweed and dust. In most cases, the body's overreaction to such factors is triggered by temperature of a particular area. Particularly mold, it develop and accumulate in places where water often collects.
Allergies in the springtime (late April to May) are due to tree pollens that travels in the air. Summer allergies are caused by weed and grass pollens around late May and early July. Ragweeds often cause allergies during autumn or fall, usually during August to the first winter chill. However, mold, dust and dust mites are known to be all-season common allergens.
Mold usually increase faster indoor and outdoor on humid months, such as late summer and early autumn. Outdoor kind of mold can grow on falling leaves, vegetation, soil and rotting wood. Indoor mold can reproduce in damp and moisture-infested areas of the house. These include shower stalls, shower curtains, basements, near washing machines and dryers, under the kitchen sink, etc. In addition, dust mites also double their number with humidity. They are always trigger by uncleanliness and dirty ventilation systems.
The most common allergy symptoms include:
* runny nose
* stuffy nose or congestion
* sneezing
* watery and/or red eyes
* itchy eyes, skin, nose and around the mouth
* ear fullness as well as popping
* hives
* difficulty in breathing
Remember that there are elements that can also make such reactions worse. These might be:
* humidity
* irritating fumes
* tobacco smoke
* air pollution
* cold temperature
* aerosol spray
* wood smoke
* wind
But, it is very advisable to clean up to prevent and reduce the presence of allergens. For instance, bathe or shower before going to bed. In this way, pollens and other allergens from skin and hair can be washed off. Mold, on the other hand can be eliminated by removing houseplants, and then frequently cleaning the home space.
